What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
Creatricity is a company registered in Delaware, United States. We run creatricity.io, the Builder Circle membership, The Room, and the services and products described on our site. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Creatricity.
We are responsible for the personal information described here. For anything about your privacy, email connect@creatricity.io.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We can see your name, email, which plan or product you bought, the amount, the payment status, and the last four digits and expiry date of your card.
Builder Circle live rooms are recorded. If you join one, the recording may include your name, your video, your voice and anything you write in the chat.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law asks us to name the legal reason we rely on for each use. Those reasons are in the right hand column.
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Provide your membership, The Room, replays and member tools | Performing our contract with you |
| Take payment and manage your billing | Performing our contract with you |
| Match you with people and make introductions | Performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running a useful community |
| Show your profile to other members | Performing our contract with you |
| Record live rooms and share recordings with members | Performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in letting members who missed a session catch up |
| Send you emails about your membership or purchase | Performing our contract with you |
| Send you newsletters and offers | Your consent, or our legitimate interest in telling existing members and customers about similar things. You can unsubscribe from any email. |
| Measure our advertising with the Meta Pixel | Your consent |
| Keep the site secure, prevent fraud, and meet legal and tax obligations | Our legitimate interests and our legal obligations |
The Room is our members only area. Other Builder Circle members can see your roster profile there: your name, title and company, city, what you’re building, what you need, what you can offer, and a link you chose to share. We never show your email address.
Recordings of live rooms are shared with members only, inside The Room.
The Room is shared with members through a passcode rather than through individual accounts. Please only put things in your profile that you’re comfortable with other members seeing.
You can ask us to take your profile down at any time by emailing connect@creatricity.io. We’ll remove it within 7 days.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run Creatricity, and only as far as they need it to do that job.
| Company | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Payments, subscriptions and the billing page where you see your plan and receipts |
| Netlify | Hosts our website and receives form submissions |
| Kit (ConvertKit) | Our email list, emails and some of our sign up pages |
| Zapier | Moves form submissions into our email list |
| Stores Builder Profile responses, and serves the fonts on our site | |
| Zoom | Runs and records our live rooms |
| ManyChat | Handles sign ups that start on Instagram or Messenger |
| Meta | Measures our advertising, only if you accept advertising cookies |
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our legal rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.
We are based in the United States, and most of the companies above process data in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred there. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or a provider’s certification under the Data Privacy Framework agreed between the United States and the EU or UK.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or give you a copy. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time, and withdraw any consent you’ve given.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to restrict how we use your information, to object to uses based on our legitimate interests, to take your data to another provider, and to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, to delete or correct it, to opt out of the sharing of your information for cross context behavioural advertising, and not to be treated differently for using any of these rights. Declining advertising cookies opts you out of that sharing.
To use any of these rights, email connect@creatricity.io. We’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it’s really you before we act on the request.
We keep this deliberately small. Most of what we store stays on your own device and is needed for the site to work. The only advertising tracking is the Meta Pixel, and it only runs if you say yes.
| Name | What it does | Type |
|---|---|---|
cx-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined advertising cookies, so we don’t ask you on every page | Essential |
cx-room-key | Keeps you signed in to The Room after you enter the passcode | Essential |
| Meta Pixel | Measures visits, sign ups and checkouts from our posts and ads | Advertising. Only with your consent. |
| Stripe | Set on Stripe’s own pages when you pay or manage billing, to process payments and prevent fraud | Essential, set by Stripe |
You can change your choice at any time using , which is also at the bottom of every page.
Creatricity is for adults. Our services are not directed at anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.
We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, though, so we can’t promise absolute security. If you think something has gone wrong, tell us straight away.
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also tell members by email before it takes effect.
