1. Who we are

Creatricity is a company registered in Delaware, United States. We run creatricity.io, the Builder Circle membership, The Room, and the services and products described on our site. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Creatricity.

We are responsible for the personal information described here. For anything about your privacy, email connect@creatricity.io.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address, city, job title and company.
  • Profile information: your social media or LinkedIn, your website, and your answers about what you’re building, what’s in your way, what you need, what you can offer others, and your next move. This comes from our sign up forms, Builder Profile and landing pages.
  • Quiz answers and the archetype result they produce.
  • Things you send us: questions for guests, introduction requests, wins, partnership enquiries, opportunity submissions, and any email you send.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We can see your name, email, which plan or product you bought, the amount, the payment status, and the last four digits and expiry date of your card.

Live rooms

Builder Circle live rooms are recorded. If you join one, the recording may include your name, your video, your voice and anything you write in the chat.

Information collected automatically

  • Our host records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and when. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Meta Pixel. If, and only if, you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel records which pages you visit and whether you sign up or start a checkout, so we can tell which of our posts and ads bring people here.
  • Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
  • Browser storage on your own device, described in section 9.

3. How we use it

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law asks us to name the legal reason we rely on for each use. Those reasons are in the right hand column.

4. What other members see

The Room is our members only area. Other Builder Circle members can see your roster profile there: your name, title and company, city, what you’re building, what you need, what you can offer, and a link you chose to share. We never show your email address.

Recordings of live rooms are shared with members only, inside The Room.

The Room is shared with members through a passcode rather than through individual accounts. Please only put things in your profile that you’re comfortable with other members seeing.

You can ask us to take your profile down at any time by emailing connect@creatricity.io. We’ll remove it within 7 days.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run Creatricity, and only as far as they need it to do that job.

CompanyWhat they do for us
StripePayments, subscriptions and the billing page where you see your plan and receipts
NetlifyHosts our website and receives form submissions
Kit (ConvertKit)Our email list, emails and some of our sign up pages
ZapierMoves form submissions into our email list
GoogleStores Builder Profile responses, and serves the fonts on our site
ZoomRuns and records our live rooms
ManyChatHandles sign ups that start on Instagram or Messenger
MetaMeasures our advertising, only if you accept advertising cookies

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our legal rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and most of the companies above process data in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred there. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or a provider’s certification under the Data Privacy Framework agreed between the United States and the EU or UK.

7. How long we keep it

  • Membership and profile information: for as long as you’re a member, then deleted or anonymised within 12 months of your membership ending, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Payment and tax records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is usually seven years.
  • Live room recordings: for as long as they are available to members in The Room.
  • Enquiries and form submissions from people who don’t join: up to 2 years.
  • Unsubscribes: if you ask us to stop emailing you, we keep your email address on a do not contact list, so that we don’t accidentally email you again.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or give you a copy. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time, and withdraw any consent you’ve given.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to restrict how we use your information, to object to uses based on our legitimate interests, to take your data to another provider, and to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, to delete or correct it, to opt out of the sharing of your information for cross context behavioural advertising, and not to be treated differently for using any of these rights. Declining advertising cookies opts you out of that sharing.

To use any of these rights, email connect@creatricity.io. We’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it’s really you before we act on the request.

9. Cookies and browser storage

We keep this deliberately small. Most of what we store stays on your own device and is needed for the site to work. The only advertising tracking is the Meta Pixel, and it only runs if you say yes.

10. Children

Creatricity is for adults. Our services are not directed at anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.

11. Security

We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, though, so we can’t promise absolute security. If you think something has gone wrong, tell us straight away.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also tell members by email before it takes effect.
